Supporting emotional growth, well-being and good communication
What is it?
This is a psycho-educational parenting group that consists of four 2.5 hour sessions. It will hold a maximum of 15 participants and will be held in an attractive conference room in Sophia Antipolis.
The focus of the group is gaining new knowledge, practical tools, and improved self-awareness and listening skills to more effectively manage your unique challenges in parenting.
The Curriculum
Teaches how the brain develops and how the stages of brain development impact on our childrens‘ behaviour.
Explores how unique features of the adolescent brain can help explain even the most perplexing behaviours.
Brings insights into how our autonomic nervous system works and how it influences our well-being, how we interpret things, and the quality of our social exchanges.
Offers tools to better regulate and make sense of our emotional states to maximise both our own well-being and that of our children.
Encourages you to reflect compassionately on what challenges you on a biological level, thought level, within your family system, and within your wider social and cultural context.
Asks you to consider what your values and priorities are and to identify the resources and risks in your present circumstances.
Defines signs and symptoms of mental health difficulties.
Sheds light on the possible causes and maintaining factors of different forms of mental and emotional distress.
Offers suggestions and signposting to address mental health related topics that matter to you.
